Description
Static content, currently identified as:
I. Image Files: As added through the Website or CMS (/Media image files).
II. Website Image Files: As added to the CSS folders for delivery via CSS to style the website.
III. CSS Style Sheet Files: Static .css files for styling the website.
IV. Javascript Files: Static .js files for client-side code execution.
V. Static ActionScript/ShockWave? Files: Mainly shockwave (.swf) files for delivery of Flash based Applications (primarily the video player, but may include other flash applications).
VI. Static configuration Files: May include XML configuration files, semi-permanent cached files (fixed RSS or mRSS deliveries, static email files, etc.)
VII. Other Static Applications Files: Potentially may include QuickTime? Applications, Mobile Applications, Silverlight Application delivery, emerging applications.
Initial deployment should focus on items I-III. The process must include a means of monitoring and editing files pushed, a means to retrieve the files and link them with the website delivery platform and a means to add new files to the CDN and track such action.
